Gone Fish'in in the U.P. Michigan

We will be off to the Upper Peninsula on the 2nd for another vacation of boating, fishin, smores, and the pool. We love to go to this place tucked in Manistique on Indian Lake. The boys caught fish, craw fish last year and Big Ted caught a huge fish so we had a friday fish fry. The stars were beautiful at night. We really can't wait to get up there. Its a 7 hour drive with a breakfast break on the road. I hope to post some beautiful pic.s A week away, all together. Nature at its finest.
Should be a memorable time. Will let you know how it went!

Krystina's Graduation Party

Here we are at Krystina's Party. It was a great time. The weather kept changing from rain to sun. That didn't stop the kids in the pool. We saw Donna's Mother and that whole side of the family that we really didn't know. Bunny was happy to see Alanna and Matthew in person. That hasn't happened since Alanna was a baby. At first it was a little strange but we all fit right in after 5 minutes or so. It was sad to hear about Cary's best friend that past away the day before. He was 28 years old.

Here are some pictures that I took.

Graduation-Birthday Party

We had a great time with family and friends this past weekend congratulating Kelly and Frank. Matthew celebrated his 15th birthday too. Ted had his huge weber out to tackle all the grilling. He did a great job. Papa came and we got to meet his new gal Beverly. She seemed nice and Cal seemed happy to have her around. My Uncle Jose feeling good and he came too. It was great to see him. It was really a great time visiting with family and friends. I wish I could have spent more time socializing but that's how it goes when hosting a party. Next week its off to Donna and Ric's to celebrate Krystina's graduation. It will be nice to visit with Donna's Mother and the rest of the family. Its been a while since we saw that side of the family. It will be a good time I am sure. I will post all the pic.s

I cannot believe all of our babies are turning so fast into adults!

Prayer Request

Yesterday morning I found out that my Uncle Jose's prostrate cancer has spread to a lung and to his liver. That's my mother's brother. He basically played chance with his disease. It did not turn out in his favor. He decided some months ago that he would stop his treatment because he was worried about the med.s on his liver and now it has cancer too. He dislikes doctors, medicine and hospitals. He has been depressed, angry lost weight, and most importantly does not know the Lord Jesus. He is a stubborn man. I know God is still in control. I ask for prayer from you, for me to be used by God if its his will to present Jesus to him and if not me, that someone be put in his direct path. I know God can soften his heart of stone. This request is similar to a prayer, said to me by my mother in law a week before my mother died. I was not the one sent but God did send a woman to her hospital bed and she was saved. I had the best conversations about the Lord with my mother in her last days. I know its a small taste of conversations I will have again one day. Praise be to God! His work is done one way or another.
If you would take a moment to pray I would greatly appreciate it. Its the best we can do for him.
Thank you!

Busy Busy Spring

Its been a crazy past few months that passed very quickly. My kids will be home for the summer in a few weeks and it will be a different kind of busy. Kelly graduated a few weeks ago from Northeastern Illinois University with straight A's. She has a bachelors in Enviromental studies. As of the monday following her granduation, she has been working full time at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. In a few weeks Frankie will be graduating from Lane Tech. We will be having a party at home for them both on June 21st. We are very proud of them both. Frank wants to take an EMT class and go on to be a parametic-fireman. I am jsut not sure its his plan alone. His friend has been doing this and I am not sure why Frankie wants to follow in his footsteps but talks are in the making to get this straight and moving forward. I think he is better off going to Northeastern and after experiencing that, then maybe do the EMT course next summer if that's what he really wants to do. I just want the scholarship $$ to go to the right place. We had a great time in February with Donna and Sue's Families. The grand kids all were happy to see each other. It was a good day for mending the past. I know it was good for Donna and Sue.

It's Cold Outside!!

I cannot believe how cold it is outside!! We cancelled Youth group for tonight. I was so happy to hear that! I hope it warms up this weekend, above zero would be nice. We will be celebrating Christmas with Papa on Donna's birthday. It will be so nice to get together. Papa is in Florida and I am sure he is very happy not to be here in the sold! I hope he is having a good time and I hope he is relaxing a bit too. Frankie just turned 18 last wednesday. He is such a great guy! I came home from work today and was so tired. The boys had finals and so frank was home before me. I walked into the kitchen and it was so clean! The oven was on and I suddenly smelled chocolate chip cookies. He made me feel so good! The bathroom was clean too. He even cleaned the living and dining rooms. I thanked him and he gave ME a big hug. Then he told me to take a nap! The best thing is that he did it to please me.! I feel loved :) Frank, Alanna and Matthew have no school tomorrow. I hope it's not too cold to hang out somewhere together. Its 5:00pm and I think I want to put on my pajamas!
